Hurtigruten circumnavigation of Iceland Having a wonderful time on the MS. Spitsbergen traveling around Iceland and visiting fantastic locals. The food is excellent and the exploration is great fun. Highly recommend.

Fantastic trip Hugi was recommended by a neighbor, so happy he told us about him. He really enjoys what he does and it shows. He is very knowledgeable, accommodating, takes you places, and you would never fine on your own or with a large tour company, yet never makes you feel rushed. Would highly recommend Hugi and Iceland is Niceland!

Hugi is a nice guide I'm on a tour with Reynir in the north and I met Hugi. He's there to learn more about the northern area. So I actually had two guides, which is very lucky. Hugi is very humorous so me and my father were always laughing on the way. He provided us with a lot of information that we didn't know before even we participated the day tours in Reykjavik already. He has a lot of experience traveling himself and is always learning. He took videos on the way and kept learning about the north, which is very admirable. Hugi is the best! We did a 3-day tour of the south coast, and Hugi our guide and driver, was the best! Funny and informative, he kept us entertained throughout the long hauls with weird local Icelandic stories. When whether went bad, he was able to rearrange the itinerary so we could experience every site in the best possible conditions. Go for Hugi, and stay for Iceland!

Best guide ever! We had the distinct pleasure to have Hugi as our guide for a private tour of Golden Circle and Southern region of Iceland. It was obvious very early on that he enjoys what he does and that the trip from that point on was going to be very interesting. As we were a small group (4 from Singapore and one from Denmark), we were able to fit in a massive 4wheel drive vehicle - and when I say big I mean "a step-ladder was provided for shorter guests" big. Hugi maneuvered the Icelandic roads professionally and kept his cool to keep us on track as the vehicle swerved from the icy road that one time. A private tour gave us (or Hugi mostly, as we gave him complete freedom to do what he does best) the opportunity to shuffle the itinerary according to time/weather and chance encounters. For example, we took an unscheduled detour to greet some Icelandic horses that were grazing in a very picturesque area. Hugi made sure we were cozy and entertained (with live music at one point) throughout the trip and he quickly became more friend than just a guide. He possesses a wealth of knowledge, always eager to share information on Iceland, its history, culture and stories. We would recommend all who would like to travel with Hugi to be open minded, curious and possess a basic proficiency in English. It would be a waste not being able to understand him as he is very entertaining and overall a brilliant guide. We had a fantastic trip and thanks to this great experience, we are already planning to come back to Iceland and hopefully engage Hugi again for more adventures!

Profesjonalne podejście , cierpliwość i wyrozumiałość do ludzi z których każdy miał inne oczekiwania to coś co cechuje tylko najlepszych. Would 100% book again I was teaching a yoga retreat in Iceland and was so happy when I found Hugi. He made planning the trip so much easier. Then, upon arriving, he was very funny and easy to get along with. Everyone loved him and he quickly became part of the “family” we created. He took us on 3 full day excursions and also drove us to/ from the airport. We saw SO much more stuff than we’d have seen without him 💯 Also, I did a lot of research before booking with him and his prices were SO much better than anything else I’d found in Iceland. A win win with Hugi!

Fantastic Guide! Hugi is a really fantastic guide. He brought us to the Secret lagoon and the trip was really amazing. He sang while driving and has a big knowledge about Iceland, it's history and culture, told us a lot of storys and was able to answer all of our questions.
